Ed Bert traded to the Laurelhurst Mets

In a shocking move, the Laurelhurst Pirates have agreed to send last year's MVP Ed Bert to the Laurelhurst Mets. With the Pirates adding Zac Warren to the roster playing time for everybody was going to be short. An offer came in from the Laurelhurst Mets for Ed Bert and the Pirates could not refuse. Since Ed most likely won't appear all season, he agreed to play for the Mets and try to lead them to the postseason.
The Pirates, in return for Ed Bert, will be recieving a keg of Lucky Labrador beer from the Mets and a couple of pizzas. Mets captain Robert Long was very excited about adding Ed saying "He's a proven winner and he gives our new team a chance to be competitive right away."
